7 Years of Move With Studio — A Reflection

This July, Move With Studio turns seven.

Honestly, that feels both wild and deeply grounding to say. Seven years of movement, of growth, of showing up through seasons of ease and challenge, through changing times, and with a community that continues to inspire me every single day.

When I opened the studio in 2018, I didn’t just want to offer classes. I wanted to create a space that felt safe, welcoming, and rooted in something deeper than physical fitness. I believed and still believe that how we move can change how we live. That movement is medicine. That it’s a path home to ourselves.
This space has become more than I ever imagined.

It’s where so many of you have discovered your strength. Where you’ve rehabbed injuries, reconnected with your bodies, and found a rhythm that’s all your own. It’s where trust is built between teacher and student, between breath and body, between intention and action.

We’ve never aimed to be the biggest. Just the most present. The most thoughtful. The most real.

What’s kept this studio alive and evolving isn’t a marketing plan or a perfect schedule. It’s you. The people who walk through our doors with curiosity, commitment, and care. Whether you’ve been here since year one or just found us recently you’re part of the heartbeat of this place.

It’s wild how time marks us not just in the calendar sense, but in how it shapes who we are. Seven years ago, this space began as an idea rooted in intuition and a deep desire to connect. And here we are, still growing, still learning, still showing up to move together.

This past year, especially, has felt like a quiet evolution. Not loud, not flashy. But meaningful. Intentional. There have been moments of recalibration, where we’ve asked: What really matters? What needs to fall away so something more true can take its place?

Growth doesn’t always look like more. Sometimes, it looks deeper.

And as we open the door to year eight something new is beginning to stir. You might not see it yet, but it’s been quietly forming — and I’ll have more to share later this year.

"Growth doesn’t happen all at once. It’s in the small shifts, the quiet decisions, the way we keep choosing to keep going."

This quote lives at the heart of how I see our community not as people chasing some ideal version of themselves, but as individuals choosing, again and again, to move forward with awareness, grace, and grit.

Year eight feels like an invitation:

  • To step more fully into ourselves.

  • To take up space in ways that are bold but grounded.

  • To embody what we’ve learned, and build from that place of strength.

We’ll continue showing up with care, creativity, and intention both in the studio and beyond.

Thank you, truly, for your presence, your trust, your willingness to move alongside us.

With Grace and Ease,
Kelsey
